Connecting Schools With Global Experts

One classroom. One expert. The whole world in between.

Global Classrooms Foundation is a U.S.-based nonprofit initiative connecting school students — anywhere in the world — live, on video, with scientists, engineers, entrepreneurs, and mentors who can widen what they believe is possible.

★ 13+ Years Building Global Classrooms
The Work Behind This Foundation

Meet the founder who built the model this Foundation runs on

Santosh Talaghatti is a Pune-based social entrepreneur, EdTech & e-Governance specialist, and Government Consultant to India's Digital India Programme since 2016. Since 2013, as CEO of eLMNOP Innovative Education and Research Pvt. Ltd., he has run the Global Classroom Initiative — connecting rural Indian schools directly to global experts, teacher by teacher, village by village, for over a decade.

That work now reaches more than a thousand schools and 1,500 identified villages, linking students to experts across 15 countries — and has been featured in YourStory, the Sunday Times of India, and Sakal. Global Classrooms Foundation is his effort to build a U.S.-based nonprofit home for that same model, and open the same network of global experts to students well beyond India.

“A child's postcode should never decide their future — or who they get to learn from.”
Our Mission

Distance should never decide what a child gets to learn

We believe every student — regardless of geography, income, or the size of their school — deserves a live connection to the people building the future: scientists, engineers, entrepreneurs, educators, and changemakers around the world.

1

Global Expert Network

A growing network of volunteer professionals and mentors who join live classroom sessions from wherever they are.

2

Teacher & Student Support

Programs that build teacher confidence with technology and give students the communication and leadership skills to make the most of every session.

3

Humanitarian, By Design

Priority given to under-resourced schools and communities — the students for whom this connection matters most.

Built On a Real, Working Model

We're not starting from zero

Global Classrooms Foundation carries forward the Global Classroom model our founder, Santosh Talaghatti, has run for more than a decade in India through eLMNOP — reaching over a thousand schools and linking rural classrooms to experts across 15 countries. This foundation exists to extend that same model, and that same network of global experts, to more students, in more places.
